Andreas Christensen is ‘The Blue Daze’ Loanee of the Year.
The 20 year old defender was a staple in the defence at Borussia Monchengladbach, playing 31 games in the Bundesliga and scoring three goals.
Helping the German team to fourth place and European football, the young Dane can be super proud of his development and contribution to their campaign.
Chelsea loaned out 34 players in the 2015/16 season, with many hoping to have a future shot in the first team . The reality is however that many will never come close to securing a place in the Blues’ first eleven due to the multitude of talent within the squad and a powerful ever-presence in the transfer market.
Andreas Christensen will most definitely not be one of those unfortunate hopefuls. He has the quality to develop into a world class defender with a technique and composure that is impressive considering his age.
The young man has a bright future, and it looks to be blue.
