Chelsea v Swansea
Opening day draw to the Welsh team felt like a defeat after we were 2-1 up. We started very brightly at home but Swansea grew into it. Jefferson Montero had the better of Brana all day and worried our back four immensely. Having said that, despite Swansea’s pressure and good play, Courtois’ sending off changed this game and effectively ruled out a strong finish to the game. One man down and with us still trying to find fitness this was not an easy task for the Chels. Not the end of the world, and if your superstitious, there are some interesting omens for champions drawing on the first day of the season. Next up Man City at the Etihad. I’m sure we’ll be up for it. Come on Chels’.
